Parent Information
This page gives information on parenting courses and more.
Parenting Courses
Over the summer we have developed some taster sessions for parents, these can be accessed either on a Microsoft Teams call or face to face.
Over the summer holidays, we trialled them over teams and had some positive feedback from parents who joined. There are 4 taster sessions, which cover the following parenting groups:
The Incredible Years – for parents of pre-school and primary school ages
Group Triple P – for parents of children who attend primary school
Teen Triple P – for parents of children 11yrs plus
Togetherness – The Solihull approach for parents of babies right through to teenagers.
They contain information about parenting groups in general and then give an overview of course content with some examples of activities from each course.
The session is scheduled for one hour, and that also allows some time for questions and answers at the end.
If you are interested in the parenting team coming into school to deliver a taster session, please get in touch with Mrs Rickwood.
We can offer these to fit in with a coffee morning, parents evening, or a standalone session.
We can also offer these to fit in with working parents, we can offer an online Microsoft Teams session from 6pm to 7pm, Monday to Thursday.
I think this is an ideal way of giving parents information about the courses on offer in Doncaster and hopefully we will see more parents wanting to attend a full course.
