Foundation Two:
RWI
This week I will be speaking to many of you on the phone for Parents Evening. I will talk to you about how your child is doing and direct you to the VLE where you will be able to access the virtual classroom. This will allow your child to have extra practise of the sounds they need. It is essential that we try and keep every child up with the phonics program.
Maths
This week in maths we are looking at the Composition of 1, 2, and 3.
We will be looking at all the different ways of making three. If you have some dominoes at home you could ask your child to find all the dominoes that total 3. Make a game which involves throwing three items into a hoop (or basket). How many go in? How many don't? Can they think of a way to record this?
Topic:
This week we will be looking at Bedtime Routines.
We will be looking at the text 'Peace at Last' by Jill Murphy
Click on the link below to hear the story on YouTube:
We will also be asking the children about their bedtime routines. Look out for a form to complete to help us with these discussions!
