We have had a busy week in Nursery.
We have started our new Dinosaur topic and we have read our new story,
'Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus'.
We have counted the dinosaurs and found out how many we have in two groups.
We have played in the dinosaur small world tray and we have started to make our own dinosaur eggs with paper mache.
We have also enjoyed pretending to be hairdressers as some of had our cut in the holidays.
We have all been 'Busy Bees'.
This week has been a very creative and busy week.
The children have used the play dough to make different sized worms and they measured their height outside.
Some of the children went on a mini beast hunt outside and we have cut out bees for our new 'Busy Bee Book Corner'.
Lastly we have made crowns to celebrate the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Our Easter Activities.
We have had a very busy week! We have made our Easter cards, we have hunted numbered eggs outside, we have made Easter lambs and we have had our Easter bonnet parade.

This half term our focus story has been 'The Odd Egg'.
We have read and learnt the story. We have talked about the size of the eggs and the different birds in the story.
We have measured the crocodile using the unifix cubes and we have painted and drawn the main characters.
We have also enjoyed making 'Mother's Day Cards' and playing in our Nursery setting.
We hope you like the pictures of the children engaging with their friends and playing inside and out of the classroom.
Fun in the Snow!
The Nursery children had fun in the snow today. They enjoyed making footprints, drawing snowmen and talking about how the snow felt.
We hope you have all had a great half term holiday.
The children have been really busy this week learning our new 'Talk for Writing' text
The Odd Egg.
The children have ordered the story using the characters in our story sack and used language of size to describe the eggs in the story.
The children have counted eggs in the tough tray and decorated eggs for our display in the craft area.
Fine Motor Workshop.

Christmas has Arrived!
This week the children have been making calendars, wrapping boxes and building towers. Lastly they have been decorating our 3 different sized Christmas trees and counting the baubles.
Fine Motor Fun
During this week in Nursery this children have had lots of fun, playing with shaving foam, helping make collage bears, painting with cotton buds and cutting out pictures and recalling the story 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'.
Happy Half Term.
We have had a great week in Nursery. We have used cotton buds to paint with and we decorated pumpkin pictures. We have even made our own pumpkin lantern with a real pumpkin.

Counting Conkers and Breakfast Reading Club.
We have had a busy week in Nursery, we have been counting conkers and drawing around them, we have been printing owls using fruit, we cut out 'Owl Baby' pictures and talked about the story and finally we have had our first 'Breakfast Reading Morning'.
We were delighted to share a special reading time with our families. We would love to see more of you; as the children love the opportunity to show you their classroom and read with you and their friends.
Exploring texture and mixing colours.
This week the Nursery children have used collage materials to decorate owl templates. We have also used powder paints to create autumn colours.
Exciting new reading area in FS1.
The children have been very busy exploring our new reading area.'Colin's Cosy Corner'.

Easter Activities and Outdoor Play
This week we have enjoyed the mild weather and we have played outside. We have hunted for the numbered eggs and then we drawn the correct amount of eggs onto our record sheet. When we found the number 10 we had to do 10 hops with the Easter Bunny.
We have also enjoyed playing in the water, pouring and filling the different sized jugs and cylinders.
We have also made an Easter chick to take home and we made chocolate nests on Monday.
We are looking forward to trying Hot Cross Buns on Friday.
Have a super holiday and we are looking forward to seeing you in the Summer Term.
Would 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' have liked to eat pineapple? We really enjoyed our tasting session and we think that he would have liked it.
We had a fantastic morning 'Wiggling Away'.

World Book Day!
The nursery children had a lovely day dressing up and listening to some new stories.
They all helped to sort the wonderful knitted fruits from 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.

What a busy start!
The nursery children have been busy today.
We have introduced our new story, 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. We have counted how much fruit he has eaten, we have used different coloured circles to create our own caterpillars and we have made play dough caterpillars.
We are looking forward to tomorrow as we are making and tasting pancakes.Yummy!

Welcome back to a new term in FS1 !
This half-term our focus book is 'The Gingerbread Man' and later on in half-term we are going to be talking about being healthy.
The children have already been busy learning our new story and helping to adapt our home corner.
They have baked salt dough men and painted them, counted snow balls, made play dough men and recalled the story. Here are some pictures of the children busy in the setting, making the most of the enhanced provision
